Start around shallow targets:

Laydowns • docks • riprap • grass edges • flooded cover • creek mouths • current seams • muddy banks • shallow flats

At night, concentrate on areas where bass can pin prey against structure or the shoreline.

🛠️ HOW

Slow it down compared with Shad Trigger.

Let the blades work.

Try:

Slow roll → steady retrieve → bump cover → pause → restart

Keep the bait high enough to avoid constantly fouling bottom but slow enough for the blades to produce a strong pulse.

At night, parallel banks and cover rather than making every cast straight toward shore.

🧠 WHY

In poor visibility, silhouette and vibration become increasingly valuable.

The dark skirt produces contrast, while hammered gold blades create warm broken flash plus vibration.

That's why I would keep this bait dark.

No chartreuse. No white. No need to "brighten it up."
