WHEN THEY FOLLOW—MAKE THEM COMMIT.

A subtle baitfish profile made for clear water, suspended bass and modern finesse presentations. The Baxter's Pintail gives you natural movement without the aggressive kick of a conventional paddle tail.

Jig Head minnow. Hover stroll. Dropshot. Forward-facing sonar.

Available in: Green Pumpkin Purple • Green Pumpkin Red • Pearl • Wakasagi • Shad Color Shift • Motor Oil

🐟 PINTAIL SWIMBAITS

WHEN
When bass are feeding on minnows, shad, alewife or other baitfish, or when they're following conventional swimbaits without committing. Excellent from post-spawn through fall and extremely valuable for suspended fish.

WHERE
Open water, points, humps, drop-offs, channel edges, deep grass, bluff walls and anywhere electronics show suspended bass or baitfish.

HOW
Jig Head minnow • Hover stroll • Dropshot • Damiki-style presentation • Light ball head.

Keep the action restrained. The angler should resist trying to make a pintail behave like a paddle tail.

WHY
Pintails excel because they don't produce excessive action. They can resemble a vulnerable or casually swimming baitfish rather than something racing through the water.

They're especially valuable when bass track a bait but won't eat it.

WATER CLARITY
🟢 Gin Clear: Wakasagi, Motor Oil
🟢 Clear: Wakasagi, Shad Color Shift, GP Purple
🟡 Stained: Pearl, Shad Color Shift, GP Red
🟤 Dirty: Pearl — although I'd generally choose another bait category in truly muddy water.

Baxter's Tip: If bass are following your paddle tail but refusing it, switch to the Pintail before abandoning the area.
